GOOD AND BAD SPIRITS?-The truth is that many bad spirits pretend to be good in order to deceive.All demons are bad,even if they transform themselves into angels of light.See 2corinthians11:14.Demons haunt houses and can cause thumps and bangs at any time of night and day.These happenings are real,but christians need not fear them cause we have the name of Jesus and His shed blood with which to expel these demon powers.
GOOD ANGELS/BAD ANGELS-Most christians know that angels are ministering spirits sent to those who are saved-see hebrews1:14,psalm91:11-unfortunately,we often forget about the opposing spiritual forces in the world.Evil angels-those who fell from their previous high estate as the trusted servants of Jehovah-were defeated in their rebellion and cast out of heaven with Lucifer,the son of the morning-or satan himself.see revelation12:9.The Bible also teaches that the Lord used these fallen angels to visit suffering upon those who deliberately disobeyed Him-psalm78:49-He cast on them the fierceness of His anger,wrath,indignation and trouble by sending angels of destruction among them.-When satan was cast out of heaven with his legions,he was given authority over mankind and all creation.He is able to influence everything that has life.He has a very definite effect on the very atmosphere that surrounds the earth.The apostle Paul called him the "prince of the power of the air"ephesians2:2.
Lucifer/Satan-This created being was at one time called Lucifer,which means "shining one" see Isaiah14:12.He held the greatest position among the created angelic hosts but tried to usurp God's throne.Isaiah14:13-14.Lucifer did not lose his power or authority when he was cast out of heaven.By divine permission he uses it today among earthly creation.But,his power is 2nd only to Jesus Christ.In the end satan will meet a resounding defeat.Isaiah14:15-17.
WICKED SPIRITS-satan is neither omnipresent nor omniscient.His power is limited.In order to carry on his insidious work of maintaining curses upon the world,he uses a great company of wicked spirits-or fallen angels,to do his bidding.These wicked spirits are governed by well-disciplined angelic orders of generals and captains.We don't know the number of these wicked spirits.The poor demoniac of Gadara had a legion in him.A legion can consist of about 6000 men.
DEMON OPPRESSION-When evil spirits gain entrance into a person's body,we speak of demon oppression.These demons use the body of the afflicted person to work their wicked acts.Demons delight in controlling humans and speaking through them.Demons also cause many afflictions from which mankind suffers.The spirits described in the Scriptures are foul,wicked,evil,deaf,dumb,infirm,unclean,and seducing.If we use the name of Jesus Christ and His shed blood as a weapon against satan in faith-then we will see manifestations of divine healing cause the sickness is destroyed at the root.
HEALING/DELIVERANCE-Are healing and deliverance the same?Jesus didn't think so.He differentiated between divine healing and deliverance from demons.He taught His disciples 5 signs to prove the ministry of the Word of God-Mark16:17-18.If we first cast out demons,we would have no need to pray for the sick-deliverance from the demon would bring all the healing needed.If this ministry was so important to Jesus,should it be any less important to us?
EMOTION OR ANOINTING?-The baptism in the Holy Spirit is not given to us to perpetuate feelings but to enable us to fight the devil in faith whether we feel good or not.
PROTECTION AGAINST EVIL-We must resist the devil DAILY!If we do not,it is not God's fault that our protective hedges crumbles to give the destroyer access to our lives.1peter5:8-9,ephesians4:27.In the same way a child needs to wash daily with soap and water,we need the continual cleansing of the blood of Christ.1john1:7.The blood of Christ is our greatest safeguard.Those involved in the ministry of deliverance should use the blood in faith to test all that they receive from the spiritual realm.Evil spirits are greatly agitated at the mention of the blood of Jesus Christ.
HAVE NO FEAR-Satan's great weapon is fear.We must NOT succumb to dread or be paralyzed by fear.We must be bold in strength of our Savior,who has told us to fear nothing.There is nothing to fear-satan is a defeated foe!
WEARING YOUR SPIRITUAL ARMOR-Ephesians6:13-18-therefore take up THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all,to stand.Stand therefore having girded your waist with TRUTH,having put on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS,and having shod your feet with the PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;above all,taking the shield of FAITH with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.And take the helmet of SALVATION,and the sword of the Spirit which is the WORD OF GOD.
AUTHORITY GIVEN TO US-Luke10:19-20.Behold,I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions,and over ALL power of the enemy,and nothing shall by any means hurt you.Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,that the spirits are subject to you,but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
